Im klinischen Gebrauch wird für die Therapie der Tumorhyperkalzämie mit Clodronat eine parenterale Dosierung von 300 mg/d empfohlen (50, 158, 189). Dies entspricht bei einem 75 kg schweren Menschen 4 mg/kg/d.
